Lay Formation

All of us, young and old, are on a faith journey, a path that is unique to each and every one of us. Our faith journey is an ever-deepening relationship with God and with Jesus Christ.

The role of faith formation and faith education is to help the individual cultivate their relationship with Christ. Although knowledge or catechesis forms one component of faith education, there are other aspects that should be cultivated: community, celebration and service.

We are all rooted within a faith community, which gathers to celebrate and be formed in the faith, and which moves beyond the community to serve and share the faith.
